A DStv Premiership club could be in hot water for alleged unfair dismissal after parting ways with one of their players recently.
In July, Baroka decided to part ways with Cheslyn Jampies and Jemondre Dickens after the two players failed to report on time for pre-season after their off-season break.
The two players were called before the club’s disciplinary hearing and were later released by the Limpopo outfit.
Jampies went on to sign with newly promoted club Sekhukhune United, while Dickens is at Chippa United.
Speaking to the Siya crew, South African Football Players Union’s Calvin ‘Salter’ Motloung confirmed that Bakgaga have been taken to the PSL’s Dispute Resolution Chamber for unfair dismissal on the Jampies matter.
“We are busy with the case of Cheslyn Jampies against Baroka. We are taking it on the basis of unfair dismissal. Already, we have submitted the documents to the PSL DRC and have filed the affidavit and everything,” said Motloung.
“The club has been issued with a letter from the league and they are opposing the matter, so we are taking the matter forward. We are still exchanging documents with the club,” concluded the SAFPU official.
