Mpumalanga Black Aces coach, Clive Barker, has welcomed Themba Zwane’s selection into the Bafana Bafana squad for the Australia and New Zealand friendlies.
Zwane was a surprise inclusion in the Bafana squad announced by Gordon Igesund this morning.
“He is a top class player and he is a top clash individual. I’m really proud of him,” Barker told the Siya crew.
“It (the call up) couldn’t have happened to a more deserving youngster. Themba has been fantastic for us this season and he deserves his call up. It’s a pity though that Abia Nale was not called up as well because with them operating on both sides of the midfield, that would have been a recipe for success, but I understand that Gordon can only call so much players,” added Barker.
