Following their win in the Absa Premiership against Golden Arrows, University of Pretoria coach Steve Barker has shifted his focus to their upcoming Telkom Knockout encounter with Moroka Swallows.
Tuks go into this match motivated by last weekend’s win, however this is a cup game and Barker is expecting a tough encounter against the Dobsonville-based side.
“Swallows have great players who are capable of winning the game but our preparations are going very well. I have more than a week to prepare. As you know we have a number of newcomers, like Atusaye Nyondo and others, so this is a good opportunity for them to adjust and for us to plan for a win,” said Barker.
Despite losing away from home against Platinum Stars, AmaTuks have recorded two consecutive wins on home turf and will be hoping to take that form to Dobsonville Stadium.
“Well it’s great to have back-to-back wins at home and I believe when we go to Dobsonville my boys will come to the party and beat Swallows. When I saw the draw I knew this is one of the games we are capable of winning,” the coach told the Siya crew.
