The South African Football Association (SAFA) has confirmed that Banyana Banyana midfielder, Robyn Moodaly, is set to jet off to the United States of America to further her career.
Moodaly will play her football for Colorado Rush in the US Women’s League. She has been playing for Mondeor-JVW in the Sasol League, while playing an important role for both the U17 women’s national team and Banyana Banyana.
Moodaly will also continue with her studies in USA. According to SAFA, the talented player will pursue a four-year Sports Science degree at the AIB College in Des Moines, Iowa.
“I feel honoured to get such an opportunity to be playing and studying abroad. I am looking forward to gain lots of experience by playing for Colorado Rush even though it will be temporary before moving onto the College League in September.
“However, to be honest with you, I am feeling very nervous as I don’t know what to expect when I arrive.
"I need to do well in my studies but mostly improve my game because my ultimate goal is to play in the professional league within the USA,” Moodaly told SAFA’s official website. Moodaly is scheduled to leave on May 26 (Saturday).
