Turkish outfit, Balikesirspor, are understood to have renewed their interest in Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, George Lebese.
The Turkish TFF First League outfit were reportedly interested in luring the midfielder away from Chiefs with a multi-million rand deal ahead of the 2015/16 season.
Lebese’s deal at Chiefs was set to expire at the time and the player would have been able to move on a free, however he decided against it and instead signed a new deal with the Glamour Boys.
The talented midfielder has continued to shine for the Amakhosi this season, earning a call up to the national team, and his form has meant Balikesirspor are continuing to monitor his situation.
“This is the same team that was interested in the player at the start of the season and now they have been following his progress. They want to bring him to Turkey in January,” a source close to Chiefs’ dealings told the Siya crew.
“It will be tough because he has just signed a new deal with Chiefs, which means he won’t come cheap. For whichever team that wants him, they should be ready to pay a lot.”
Do you expect Chiefs to let go of Lebese in the near future? Do you think he has enough quality to shine overseas?
