Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Emmanuel Baffour, is set to spend the rest of the year on the side lines due to ineligibility to play for his new club at the moment.
According to reports from Ghana, the 24-year-old will only be able to play in the second round of the Ghanaian Premier League.
Baffour signed a two-year deal with AshantiGold FC in Ghana after leaving Sundowns earlier this year.
But the player cannot play for the side in the first round of the Ghanaian Premier League season because of registration rules preventing him from doing so.
The player is currently working his way to full fitness, while waiting to resurrect his career in his home country. The player’s stay with Sundowns was a disappointing one due to lack of game time.
He was the top goal scorer in the top flight league in Ghana with 21 goals during his time at New Edubiase United, before his move to Sundowns in the 2012/13 season.
