News reaching the Siya crew is that Emmanuel Baffour has returned to Ghana, as was predicted in issue 843 of Soccer-Laduma. The player struggled to land a deal in South Africa, having parted ways with Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 24-year-old turned down an opportunity to play for Jomo Cosmos this season when he was advised to try his luck at the club.
He told the Siya crew at the time that playing in the NFD would not enhance his chances of playing in Ghana's national team.
Baffour is confident of finding a club in Ghana as he looks to resurrect his career. According to a source close to the player, Baffour has already vacated his place of residence in Kempton Park, Johannesburg.
It is believed that Baffour’s countryman at Sundowns, Rashid Sumaila, will become the new tenant at the Kempton Park residence.
