Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Emmanuel Baffour, has joined Ashanti Gold in Ghana’s Premier League.
Soccer-Laduma revealed that Baffour returned to Ghana, after struggling to land a deal in South Africa.
News coming through from Ghana is that the 24-year-old was snapped up by Ashanti Gold on his arrival in Ghana.
Baffour is seen as a replacement for Yakubu Mohammed at the Ghanaian outfit. Mohammed left the side in July after completing a move to Maritzburg United.
Baffour will work on regaining the form that made him the top scorer with 21 goals in Ghana’s Premier League, while he was still playing for New Edubiase in the 2011/12 season.
Baffour’s countryman, Mumuni Abubakar, is trying to resurrect his career at Black Leopards in the NFD after he was deemed surplus to requirements at Sundowns at the end of last season.
