News coming out of the Bafana Bafana camp in New Zealand is that stand-in skipper, Thabo Nthethe, is unlikely to start the team's clash against the All Whites tomorrow.
Gordon Igesund's men will clash against the All Whites in an international friendly tomorrow morning. The crew has gathered information that it's almost certain that the Mamelodi Sundowns player would almost sit out of the game.
According to a source close to the national team in New Zealand, Igesund will have to use Buhle Mkhwanazi instead of the experienced Nthethe.
"Mkhwanazi is an ideal replacement for the former Bloemfontein Celtic defender, while Hlompho Kekana could also be sacrificed as a central midfielder to partner Mkhwanazi at the back. Nthethe missed two training sessions following a knock on his knee he sustained ahead of the Australia clash on Monday."
"However, the game will be a test for Igesund as he's set to change his tactics and format to go for a kill seeking redemption and take advantage of the football minnows. This is likely to be coach Igesund's headache as the All Whites team is made up of unknown players as they're in their rebuilding phase," revealed the source.
The game will get underway at MT Smart Stadium at 09:30 South African time.
