Bafana international, Lebogang Manyama is currently in South Africa, although he is expected to return to Turkey to continue with his overseas career.
The Siya crew has been informed that Manyama is currently in Gauteng to see his family and was spotted in Johannesburg recently, fuelling speculation that the 2016/17 PSL Footballer of the Season could make a return to Mzansi.
However, it is understood that the 27-year-old is in the country for personal reasons and will return to Turkish club, Konyaspor, in due course.
Manyama made the move from Cape Town City to Konyaspor in August last year and while the player has been adjusting to his new surroundings overseas and working on his progress, rumours surfaced that some PSL clubs have been considering a move for him.
However, local clubs were halted by FIFA’s player registration rules in trying to lure the former City captain back to Mzansi’s top flight.
Manyama has already played for two teams in the 2017/18 season, being City and Konyaspor, which makes him ineligible to play for a third club, according to FIFA's Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players.
Only City would be eligible to register the player as per the regulations, but sources say it is highly unlikely that the player would re-join the Mother City outfit at this stage.
