Bafana Bafana have dropped one place in the FIFA rankings, taking them to 62nd in the world and 13th in Africa.
Some had expected Gordon Igesund’s men to climb in the rankings following last month’s win over World champions, Spain, although because of how the rankings work that was never going to happen.
Ivory Coast are still the highest placed African nation, in 17th place, while Ghana and Algeria follow behind them in 24th and 26th.
Meanwhile, the world’s top 10 has remained the same, with Spain, Germany, Argentina, Colombia and Portugal occupying the top five spots.
Bafana today announced that they would be taking on the world’s number 10 side, Brazil, in a friendly in March, and will be hoping that a win there can add to the points gained from the win over La Roja.
