Bafana Bafana have dropped four places in the latest FIFA world rankings, despite getting some positive results in recent months.
The South African national team is now ranked 60th in the World despite the latest win over Lesotho last weekend.
Gordon Igesund and the team are currently in Cameroon for the 2014 World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic on Saturday, and will then travel to Addis Ababa for another crucial game against Ethiopia in the qualifiers for next year’s tournament in Brazil.
The team wants to achieve good results in both games in order to keep up their chances of qualifying for the World Cup, while also expecting to improve in the FIFA standings.
Meanwhile, Bafana have also dropped a place in the CAF rankings, with the team is now ranked 10th on the African continent, however, good results against CAR and Ethiopia could improve the team’s position.
