Word reaching the Siya crew is that Bafana Bafana will play New Zealand in an international friendly at the end of next month.
It has already been confirmed that Gordon Igesund’s side will take on Australia in Sydney on May 26, though it seems that they will be having two games in Oceania.
According to Siya sources, Bafana could play the All Whites on May 30 in Auckland at the MT Smart Stadium.
New Zealand, who like Bafana, failed to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, are currently ranked 90 in the world, meaning that, on paper, South Africa should come away with a win.
It still remains to be seen who will be at the helm of Bafana come the games in Oceania, with Igesund’s future still hanging in the balance, however, it is thought that he will see his contract out until July.
The last time these two sides met was in the 2009 Confederations Cup when a Bernard Parker brace (2-0) saw off the All Whites.
