Gordon Igesund’s Bafana Bafana remain in 64th place in this year’s FIFA rankings, still occupying the 12th place slot in Africa.
Bafana’s lack of movement will not come as a surprise due to the fact that their only game over the last month saw them handed a 5-0 drubbing from World Cup hosts, Brazil.
Meanwhile, Egypt are the biggest movers in Africa, jumping 12 places to 26th in the world following their win over Bosnia-Herzegovina, and are now up to third place in Africa behind Ivory Coast and Algeria.
The world’s top five teams stay the same, with Spain leading the pack ahead of Germany, Argentina, Portugal and Colombia, while Belgium are into the world’s top 10, leapfrogging their neighbours, Holland.
England and Russia made the biggest progress within the top 20, both moving up three points to 12th and 19th respectively after their wins against Denmark and Armenia.
