On-form Orlando Pirates striker Lennox Bacela is expecting a tough game when Bucs take on Egyptian giants Zamalek at Orlando Stadium tonight.
“I guess we knew when we reached the group stages that we’ll be up against very tough opponents,” Bacela told the Siya crew.
“We have done well so far in the matches we’ve played and if we beat Zamalek today (Saturday), we’ll only need another three points from the remaining games to reach the semis. So, it is very important for us to win this game.
“We are hoping that they won’t pack the bus at the back and fight for a point. Most teams tend to stay far back and defend when they are playing away and it’s always frustrating to play against a team that uses that tactic. But even if they use it, then we’ll try and find ways to score the goals,” added Bacela.
Bacela is hoping to register his name on the Bucs score-sheet on Saturday.
“I’m hoping to build on my performance in the MTN8 against SuperSport by scoring agains tonight,” concluded Bacela.
Meanwhile, Pirates will be without midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo and striker Collins Mbesuma, who are both out due to injuries.
The good news for Bucs is the return of defender Siyabonga Sangweni, who has recovered from injury in time for this crucial Champions League clash.
