Orlando Pirates fans can expect more goals from Augustine Mulenga, according to the striker after scoring on his debut.
Mulenga scored the second goal for Bucs, which handed the team their 2-1 win over Bloemfontein Celtic in their Absa Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium last night.
The Zambian forward, having come off the bench in the second half, helped Bucs get all three points to keep the team’s PSL title hopes alive, with five matches remaining in their campaign.
Speaking in a post-match press conference, Mulenga explained how he took his goal, the 28-year-old also revealing what worked for him.
“For me as a player, when the coach introduced me in the game, I knew what I can do. The goal that I scored today, it’s not the first time for me to score (like that). I’m used to (doing it). When the coach introduced me to the game, and I had that chance, I took the responsibility to shoot. It’s something that I always do in training,” said Mulenga.
Musa Nyatama scored the other goal for Bucs, while Celtic’s strike came via the boot of Lorenzo Gordinho, who was later sent off, after being shown a straight red card by the match referee for a foul on Thamsanqa Gabuza.
