University of Pretoria have awarded their top performers for the 2012/13 campaign, following the team’s impressive run in their maiden PSL season.
The side, under the guidance of coach Steve Barker, ended the season in eighth position on the Absa Premiership table, having accumulated 40 points in their 30 fixtures.
The club has awarded some of the top performers in the team, as a token of appreciation for their efforts. The end of season awards ceremony was held at Pangea Cafe in Pretoria last night (Wednesday).
In a statement by the club, AmaTuks CEO Rendani Mulaudzi said, “Many people contribute to other’s success, everyone’s contribution must be valued and everyone must be treated with respect.”
Zimbabwean goalkeeper Washington Arubi was the big winner on the night, as he collected the club’s Player of the Season award. Buhle Mkhwanazi walked away with the Players’ Player of the Season award. Other winners include Mame Niang, Bongani Zungu and Mpho Matsi.
