Golden Arrows are said to be in talks with several PSL and NFD clubs with a view to loaning out some of their fringe players.
The Durban side has one of the largest squads in the league, having signed a host of young players from the lower ranks. However, a lot of the new players have struggled to get game time and the situation has been worsened by the club’s position on the league table.
Arrows are fighting relegation and Mark Harrison has opted to use mostly tried and tested players to avoid going down to the NFD. A couple of players have been brought in as well, putting a lot of the young players further down the pecking order.
It is believed that the club is looking to loan out the likes of Matome Mathiane, Asiphi Nkonzo, Siphamandla Zulu, Thulani Mabizela and a host of others in order to gain playing experience.
The club’s spokesperson, Vusumuzi Vilakazi, said, “Yes, we are talking to a few clubs regarding a few of our players that are currently not playing, but nothing has been confirmed yet. It’s only Nkanyiso Madonsela who’s gone to Thanda Royal Zulu and we’re working on other deals.”
