Golden Arrows striker, Norman Smith, will only come back to full training in February and not this month as was earlier anticipated.
The burly striker scored crucial goals for the Durban side last season, but injuries have not made things any easier for him in the current campaign, as he has only made one start in the league. The 31-year-old player suffered an ankle injury in an encounter against University of Pretoria on September 22 and has already undergone an operation, but has confirmed he will be back next month.
“It’s taking a bit longer as I hoped I’d have recovered by now. I’m working hard to be fully recovered by February and I’m busy jogging at the moment. The situation that the team is in is sad and it’s heartbreaking to watch from the sidelines,” he told the Siya crew.
