Golden Arrows have confirmed they have brought in seven new players during the January transfer window, as they prepare to improve their position in the second half of the season.
Heading the list if Arthur Bartman, who retired from playing six months ago at Kaizer Chiefs, and then took up the goalkeeping coach role at Maritzburg United. Bartman looks set to wear the gloves again, as he steps out of retirement at the Durban club.
Two Orlando Pirates players join the club on loan until the end of the season, nippy winger William Twala, who was on loan at Chippa United last season, and former Free State Stars midfielder Manti Moholo.
One of the stars of the past season in Zambia, Festus Mbewe joins until the end of the season on loan, with the club having an option to buy him.
Ghanaian midfielder Seth Owusu joins from Hearts of Oak. Owusu, who has been selected for Ghana at almost every age group, also has experience of playing in the MLS, where he was on the books of Chivas.
The other two players joining are Namibians Deon Hotto and countryman Chris Katjiikua, who both join from African Stars in their home country.
The club confirmed all these players on their website on Tuesday.
