Golden Arrows have confirmed the capture of Zambian striker, Festus Mbewe on a short-term loan deal.
Mark Harrison’s side have been a bit thin upfront this season, with the likes of Norman Smith, Rudolf Bester and Stanton Lewis out injured, leaving the goal scoring burden on the shoulders of young Bonginkosi Ntuli. It is with this in mind that the club decided to venture outside of South Africa, in search of reliable marksman.
Mbewe has been plying his trade for Nkana FC in his home country and was joint second in the goal scorers’ list last season, having netted 13 times.
Arrows’ spokesperson Vusumuzi Vilakazi told the Siya crew, “We have signed him on a six-month loan deal after an agreement between both clubs.”
