AmaZulu visit resurgent Kaizer Chiefs in search of three points after missing out against Mamelodi Sundowns in their previous match.
The two sides face off at the FNB Stadium for their Absa Premiership match on Saturday evening.
In their most recent match which was last Sunday, Usuthu drew 3-3 at home against Mamelodi Sundowns at the King Zwelithini Stadium.
In 54 league matches between AmaZulu and Chiefs since 1985, the Soweto giants have won 33 as compared to the seven victories for the KwaZulu-Natal side.
There have 14 draws between the two teams since over three decades ago, as both league matches last season resulted in 0-0 draws.
Going to the upcoming match, Giovanni Solinas’ team seem to have found their form, having won convincingly against Cape Town City and Free State Stars, while Cavin Johnson’s side will look to the likes of Bonginkosi Ntuli and veteran strikers like Mabhuti Khenyeza and Siyabonga Nomvethe to turn on the magic, should they be given a chance to play.
