AmaZulu are currently at the bottom of the Premier Soccer League table, with 16 games played, and the club has expressed a desire to beef up the squad to make sure they avoid an ugly relegation battle.
Some of the players that coach Craig Rosslee has recommended to the team are Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Musa Nyatama and Kaizer Chiefs striker Sthembiso Ngcobo.
However, Ngcobo seems to be out of the equation as coach Stuart Baxter has made it clear that he is still in his plans.
A Soccer-Laduma source said that there are other players AmaZulu want to bring into the team this January as well.
"I know they have a list of players they want sign in January," the source said.
Contacted for comment, AmaZulu spokesperson Nhlanhla Dlamini said that he can't mention any targets until the club officially comes back from the break.
"The team is starting to train on Monday, 7 January, and maybe that's when I can have the right answer," Dlamini said.
