AmaZulu On Facing Arrows: A Wound We Need To Close

The 4-1 loss for AmaZulu against Golden Arrows earlier this season is still fresh in the minds of Cavin Johnson and his team, as they prepare for their second round match in the KwaZulu-Natal derby.

AmaZulu are scheduled to welcome their KZN rivals at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday for their second Absa Premiership match of the 2017/18 season.

In their most recent match, Usuthu beat SuperSport United 1-0 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday, while Arrows were held to a 2-2 draw against Baroka FC in their match last weekend.

AmaZulu coach says the team is eager to avenge the 4-1 defeat to Arrows from September’s first round match played at the Princess Magogo Stadium.

“The upcoming game against Golden Arrows is more than a derby. It is about having the bragging rights within the KZN province. When you look back at the history of the two clubs, AmaZulu are the big brother. The last time we played them, they beat us. For us, it is like a wound that we need to close. So, going into the game against Arrows, AmaZulu will definitely be prepared. We will definitely put our best foot forward,” Johnson told AmaZulu’s official website.
