AmaZulu have provided an update on the future of striker Lehlohonolo ‘Major’ Majoro as the club awaits the decision of the PSL regarding the resumption of the 2019/20 season.
The Siya crew has reported that the Durban-based club has decided to keep experienced former Kaizer Chiefs defender Tsepo Masilela for an extended period, after his original deal expired on Tuesday.
It has since been confirmed from Usuthu that Major has resumed training with the team, after spending some time on the sidelines earlier in the season, with the club confirming at the time that he and four other senior players had been put on 'special training’ with the club’s reserve team.
“Lehlohonolo Majoro is back at training with the rest of the squad and is looking quite focused and ready to go as it is the case with the rest of the squad,” AmaZulu’s media officer Brilliant Mkhathini confirmed to the Siya crew.
Michael Morton and Nhlanhla Vilakazi, who were some of the players on ‘special training’, have parted ways with the club.
“Yes, the two guys’ contracts were not renewed and we wish them well in their future endeavours,” confirmed Mkhathini.
