A decision has been made on the future of veteran attacker Siphiwe Tshabalala as the Durban-based side is getting ready for the start of the 2021/22 season.
Following his return to Mzansi topflight last season, after being club-less for over a year since parting ways with Turkish club BB Erzurumspor, Tshabalala struggled for game time under Usuthu coach Benni McCarthy.

The 36-year-old made only one start and one substitute appearance in AmaZulu’s impressive DStv Premiership campaign which saw the team finishing the season in second place on the log and qualified for the CAF Champions League.

With the KwaZulu-Natal giants having announced seven new signings in Keagan Buchanan, Mxolisi Kunene, Tercious Malepe, Tshepang Moremi, Philani Zulu, Lindani Shange and Mattarr Ceesay, the club has confirmed Tshabala’s departure along with four other players.
“The club confirmed the departure of Siyabonga Mbatha, Sphelele Magubane, Talent Chawapihwa, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Samuel Darpoh,” confirmed AmaZulu on the club’s official website.
