AmaZulu coach Craig Rosslee has handed Xolani ‘Touch’ Mabaso a trial with the Durban-based side.
The former Kaizer Chiefs youth player is hoping for a return to the PSL after a long absence from the elite league.
Usuthu’s team manager Philani Mabaso confirmed that the former Batau FC player is one of the players training under the watchful eye of coach Rosslee, following the squad’s return to training.
“The guys that are here are Touch Mabaso and Luyanda (Hlongwa). I don’t know the team he (Mabaso) last played for. But he played for us some years ago,” said Mabaso.
The winger is hoping to reunite withvcurrent AmaZulu playmaker, Kagiso Senamela, with the players having played together at the Chiefs development system. They also played alongside each other at AmaZulu, back in 2007.
