Ex-Chiefs Midfielder On The Mend For Usuthu
AmaZulu Have Provided Injury Update For Duo
Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Ovidy Karuru, is expected to recover and make a quick return to full fitness in anticipation of upcoming games for AmaZulu.
Karuru picked up an injury in the 4-1 loss for AmaZulu against Golden Arrows at the weekend. Usuthu will welcome Bidvest Wits at King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday for their next Absa Premiership game.
The KZN side has provided an update on Karuru, as well as youngster Sibongiseni Mthembu, who is also known as Fani-Fani in football circles.
“Fani Fani had a tibial shaft fracture, an undisplaced fracture which was treated surgically.
He’s done very well, he’s rehabed very strongly, he showed a lot of commitment, hard work and it’s paying off for him. He’s returning very well and he’s showing good signs on the field and I’d say he’s almost 90 percent ready for full competition,” AmaZulu’s physiotherapist Karel Du Toit told the club’s website.
“Fast-paced Zimbabwean midfielder, Ovidy Karuru, is also tipped by Du Toit to make a quick return to action after going out with a joint effusion in the KZN Derby against Golden Arrows on Sunday,” the club stated.
