AmaZulu have provided an update on Siphiwe Tshabalala ahead of their next match this week against Black Leopards.
Since being unveiled as a marquee signing for AmaZulu two weeks ago, Tshabalala has been yet to feature for the team, having missed the two matches for the Durban-based outfit so far this season.
Speaking about the preparations for Wednesday evening’s match at the Jonsson Kings Park Stadium against Leopards, AmaZulu coach Ayanda Dlamini confirmed that Shabba is set for a late fitness test to confirm his readiness.
“Mario (Booysen) and Shabba, we’ll know from the doctors. I think Mario is sick, so he couldn’t train for three days, I will only know later today or tomorrow to say he is available. Shabba is doing his late fitness test tomorrow, also I will hear from the medical team if he is available,” said Dlamini, speaking to the club’s media department.
As confirmed by the coach, Bonginkosi Ntuli, Siphesihle Maduna, Thembela Sikhakhane and Mbongeni Gumede are the four players in his squad who are currently nursing injuries.
Usuthu are still in search of their first win of the season after playing to a 1-1 draw against Orlando Pirates in their opening match, and losing 1-0 to TS Galaxy in their second match.
