Johnson Instils Confidence In AmaZulu
AmaZulu Get Ready For Their Next Game
AmaZulu coach, Cavin Johnson, is pleased with his team’s preparations for the league’s resumption after the FIFA international break.
In their two games thus far this season, Usuthu beat Free State Stars 1-0 in their opening game and lost 2-0 against Chippa United in the other.
Johnson and his technical team at the KZN outfit used the break to get the players to know each other better and to understand what is required of them.
“The FIFA break has given us the opportunity to look at the players and for them to gel better and to put them through different areas. And also make sure that they are ready. We also have to make sure that they understand what we are looking for going forward as AmaZulu,” Johnson told AmaZulufc.net.
AmaZulu played NFD side Real Kings, as well as Summerfield Dynamos from the ABC Motsepe League in friendly games during the break.
“We have arranged two or three friendlies now in the off time and I must say they have really put in the shift in the friendlies and they did a good job. The structure of the team looks like it’s coming together slowly and we are able to identify who’s who and who can play where in the team. We are confident going forward and hopefully, we’re able to maintain the momentum we had in this short mini pre-season break,” concluded the coach as quoted by the club.
AmaZulu will host Maritzburg United in an Absa Premiership game at the King Zwelithini Stadium on September 12.
