AmaZulu have confirmed that Marc van Heerden will be flying out of the country to undergo a trial with Swedish side, Orebro SK.
It was revealed by the Siya crew this morning that the left-back will be jetting off to Portugal this evening to meet up with the Swedish side, although there was no confirmation of the club’s name at the time.
Van Heerden told the club’s official website that he has the support of the KZN team on his journey to Europe.
“The coach is obviously happy to see me taking this step, although not having me available for the next coming matches will be obviously not be easy. He gave me his full support as well as the guys in the team, they all offered me some comforting words to take with.
"It’s not easy to go play overseas, when I went there last time I was still young – now I believe my head is in the right place,” Van Heerden told AmaZulufc.net.
Van Heerden is expected to play in the international friendly games lined up by the Allsvenskan League side during his 10 day trial.
