AmaZulu have confirmed that Namibian international, Petrus Shitembi, is now their player.
It was revealed on the Soccer Laduma web and mobi-site on the weekend that the Namibian is expected to play for AmaZulu in the 2014/15 season.
The midfielder impressed Craig Rosslee and his technical team when he trained with Usuthu earlier this year.
AmaZulu revealed on the club’s official website that Shitembi and Willem Mwedihanga represented the team when they turned out for Namibia in the 3-0 loss to Congo on Sunday.
“Mwedihanga and Usuthu midfielder Petrus Shitembi played the entire match and will now look to enjoy some rest before reporting for preseason ahead of the 2014/15 season,” amazulufc.net revealed.
Shitembi was previously with the University of Pretoria, but the 22-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements at Tuks after struggling for game time under Steve Barker at the Tshwane outfit.
