AmaZulu Confirm New Deal With Midfielder
AmaZulu have confirmed agreeing to a new deal with one of the experienced midfielders in their team.
As reported by the Siya crew, Michael Morton is nearing the end of his contract with SuperSport United.
The central midfielder is spending the current season with AmaZulu on loan from SuperSport. It has since been confirmed from AmaZulu that the midfielder has been signed on a permanent deal, following an agreement between the parties for a new two-year contract.
“We have come to an agreement with Michael Morton to extend his stay with us for another two years. Morton is a player who has shown great commitment to our cause, and we are only happy to keep him,” AmaZulu’s general manager Lunga Sokhela confirmed on the club’s official website.
Morton, 28, is happy with the latest developments at the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.
“I’m just happy to have settled things, I know where my future lies. It’s a nice relief. I didn’t sign for a team that I don’t think is not going to be in the PSL next season. We have to make sure we keep the status by obviously working hard. There’s nine games left and we’re not too far now. Everyone’s input is going to be important and I just want to play a part in that,” said Morton.
