AmaZulu have won three of their nine matches so far this season and are currently in position nine of the PSL log with 12 points.
Usuthu beat Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 and drew 1-1 with Baroka FC in their last two league matches before the FIFA international break.
“The players have played well against teams which are higher than us on the league standings.
So, we are getting points where people don’t expect us to get points,” Johnson told AmaZulu’s official website.
AmaZulu’s first game after the FIFA international break will be against Kaizer Chiefs at the King Zwelithini Stadium on November 22.
“We are AmaZulu FC and we have a brand to build, and a stadium to fill up. I think we need to take it one step at a time and we will get there,” concluded the coach.
