AmaZulu confirmed that the club has appointed Stephen Bezuidenhout to lead the team’s development.
“AmaZulu have appointed Durban-born Stephen Bezuidenhout to replace the vacant Head of Development at the club with immediate effect. The 33-year-old coach once turned out for African Wanderers briefly before going into youth football mentorship on a fulltime basis, which led him into founding the Westville Academy,” amazulufc.net revealed.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge and I know we should be one of the top five teams in the country in terms of football development and that’s the goal,” Bezuidenhout told the club’s official website.
AmaZulu General Manager, Peter O’Connor, told the club’s official website that Bezuidenhout will be responsible for football at youth level at the KZN side.
“We’re glad because he certainly has the passion for football and football development. He has previously worked as soccer manager at the Sharks Academy. Steve’s role with us will be on a fulltime basis,” O’Connor told amazulufc.net.
