AmaZulu are on the verge of signing Orlando Pirates striker Bongani ‘Drogba’ Ndulula, having agreed to terms with his current club.
Ndulula’s future has been the subject of speculation for some time, with Pirates informing him that he was surplus to requirements at the club.
The 23-year-old striker had been set for trials in Israel, as well as being linked with a move to Golden Arrows, however both proposed moves failed to materialize.
Now the Siya crew have been informed that terms between Usuthu and Pirates have been agreed upon and that the player is keen on the move. The only concern is whether AmaZulu can register him before today’s 5pm deadline.
Peter O’Connor, the club’s General Manager, told the Siya crew that their team manager, Philani Mabaso, is currently with the player.
He said, “We are very interested and we’re trying to get the paperwork and the registration sorted out today. It should be done, Philani is in Jo’burg with the player at the moment.”
AmaZulu have until 5pm to get the player registered with the PSL, and it is thought that they will get the contract finalised in the next hour or so.
