AmaZulu have added Luyanda Hlongwa to their roster, as they aim to gain PSL promotion from the NFD.
The defender is joining Usuthu for a second spell after playing for the side in the PSL during the 2012/13 season.
Contrary to media reports indicating that Hlongwa has joined Jomo Cosmos, AmaZulu have confirmed that the 28-year-old has penned a six-month contract with the KZN side.
The Durban-based side has been further strengthened with the addition of Zola Jingxi to Steve Barker’s team.
“AmaZulu has looked within its structures for their latest signings, with 18-year-old left-footed midfielder Zola Jingxi and utility man Luyanda Hlongwa (28) joining Usuthu ahead of the transfer window closure.
“Jingxi, who was part of the club’s U-17 team before moving to the ABC Motsepe league, joins the first team on a three-year deal from Sgcino Cosmos.
“Hlongwa returns on a six-month contract after having played for AmaZulu in the 2012/13 season,” AmaZulu confirmed on the club’s official website.
