AmaTuks’ academy teams has done exceptionally well recently in the tournaments they have participated in, with both their U17 and U15 teams claiming victory.
Tuks’ U17 side won the Grimoldby tournament, which is sponsored and organised by the Ambassadors of sport in the City of Tshwane.
The U15 Tuks side won the annual Brian Sebapole tournament, which was held in the Khuma Township, Klerksdorp.
Brian Sebapole is a former Tuks and Jomo Cosmos player, who also played in the USA and China. Sebapole was roped into Tuks’ technical team in the 2011/12 National First Division season, to help the team secure promotion to the PSL.
Members of the senior Tuks side were there in support of the tournaments. The AmaTuks PSL side travel to Dobsonville to take on Moroko Swallows in the Telkom Knockout Cup on Saturday at 20h15.
The two sides last met on August 3, at the Dobsonville Stadium, when Tuks went down 1-0 thanks to an 89th minute winner by Lerato Chabangu.
