South African Men’s U-20 national side, Amajita are scheduled to depart for Malawi on Thursday 19 July and head coach Thabo Senong has declared a clean bill of health.
Amajita will play Malawi in Blantyre this coming Saturday in a second leg 2019 AFCON U-20 qualifier after both teams played to a goalless draw at the Moruleng Stadium last week.
“The camp is looking good, we don’t have any injuries and everybody is looking forward to the second leg fixture,” declared Senong to Soccer Laduma.
“If we keep our discipline and shape and make sure we don’t concede in Malawi then we have a strong chance at winning the game. Once we arrive in Malawi we will have two training sessions, on Thursday and Friday for adaptation purposes and play our game on Saturday.
“As long as we don’t concede we will be ok. The way we play and perform I’m confident that we will be able to get a goal or two,” concluded the Amajita mentor.
The South African depart tomorrow and play their fixture on Saturday with the game scheduled to start at 15h30.
