Following the sentiments expressed by Amajita’s Portuguese based midfielder, Tlotlo Leepile on the U20’s predicament following their 2-0 defeat to Ghana in the AYC opener, skipper Motjeka Madisha has dubbed the clash against Mali as sink or swim time for them.
Thabo Senong’s men are scheduled to take on Mali in their second group match today, in a must-win encounter if they are to realise their semi-final objective and qualification to the World Cup in New Zealand.
“It has come to that; but the good thing is we are mentally and physically psyched up for the occasion. This is when life calls one to either swim or sink; it is as simple as that,” said the Mamelodi Sundowns man in a media statement for SAFA.
The match between South Africa and Mali starts at 16h30 (18h30 SA time) and will be followed by the Ghana v Zambia encounter.
