The South African men’s U17 national team will have to ensure that they bag maximum points against Cameroon when they play in their third group match at the African Youth Championships, if they are to secure a berth at the U17 FIFA World Cup in Chile later this year.
Amajimbos rescue A Point Against Mali
Amajimbos registered their second draw against Mali on Thursday, February 19, following their opening stalemate against current holders, Ivory Coast in their AYC opener.
Molefi’s men are currently in third spot in Group B with two points, having drawn two matches behind Mali and Ivory Coast.
Despite not having acquired the full three points, Ntseki still remains upbeat following the performance of his players ahead of Sunday's clash with Cameroon, who are bottom of the table.
“I believe that our game-plan worked very well apart from us conceding too early, we knew that the Malians will come at us, but in the beginning of the match they didn’t give us room to play which is why we had to slow the match down in the second half,” noted Nsteki on the South African Football Association website.

“The boys regained their confidence, we made very crucial substitutions and we kept pushing to ensure that we got the goals we needed," he added.
