News reaching the Siya crew is that Real Madrid midfielder, Xabi Alonso, is available for selection when Bafana Bafana host Spain tomorrow night at FNB Stadium.

Alonso suffered an injury during Spain’s 2-1 win over Equatorial Guinea and was substituted at half-time.

He was initially thought to have suffered a severe ankle sprain, but coach Vicente del Bosque confirmed to Espana after the match that Alonso had only picked up ‘a knock’.

The Real Madrid star is now expected to start alongside Andres Iniesta in the middle of the park for La Roja when they take on Bafana Bafana at FNB Stadium tomorrow night at 21h00.
