With just a few days remaining in the January transfer window, Soccer Laduma looks at the confirmed signings and the ones that are likely to still happen before it closes on Monday.
Mamelodi Sundowns have been busy in the market, trying to bolster their squad to compete in the CAF Champions League. The DStv Premiership champions want to go all the way this time and have shown their intent by acquiring the services of Surpise Ralani from Cape Town City and midfielder Teboho Mokoena from SuperSport United. Bolivian international Erwin Saavedra is expected to be announced soon. Two strikers are currently being assessed by the technical team.
They are not the only ones who have been busy in the market. Sekhukhune United, Maritzburg United and TS Galaxy have brought in some new faces.
Signings still to come?
Kaizer Chiefs are yet to confirm any signings, but the Siya crew has it on good authority that they are still trying to bring in midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe from AmaZulu before the close of the window.
Stellenbosch are set to announce the signing of Sibongiseni Mthethwa from Black Leopards. The Siya crew has been informed that the player has already left Leopards to complete his move to the Winelands.
Cape Town City are believe to be close to concluding a deal with Mogamat Samodien May, with an announcement expected soon.
