Jabulani Shongwe’s agent Jazzman Mahlakgane is confident that the midfielder will sign a new contract with Mamelodi Sundowns to keep him in Chloorkop beyond his current deal.
Shongwe’s existing contract with Sundowns expires in June.
The 23-year-old has grown in leaps and bounds at Sundowns over the past few months.
He is one of the five players from Sundowns called up into Bafana Bafana for the African Nations Championship (CHAN).

“We gave them (Sundowns) our proposal, but they were busy with something else the last time we spoke to them. But everything is fine and I think we will finalise with them soon. All is good,” said Mahlakgane.
The other Sundowns players in Bafana camp with Shongwe are Tebogo Langerman, Hlompho Kekana, Katlego Mashego and Bryce Moon.
