Despite speculation surrounding a number of their first team players, Orlando Pirates welcomed back their whole squad for pre-season training today.
The likes of Moeneeb Josephs, Tlou Segolela, Mark Mayambela and Robyn Johannes were all present for Roger de Sa’s first session of the new season when they reconvened earlier today, even though their futures are the club are looking ominous.
Meanwhile, the five Pirates men that recently returned from international duty with Bafana Bafana were sent home and given an extra few days to recover from their African travels.
Senzo Meyiwa, Daine Klate, Oupa Manyisa, Thandani Ntshumayelo and Tlou Segolela only returned from Ethiopia on Monday, and even though they returned to training today they underwent medicals before being instructed by De Sa to get some more rest.
The internationals have been told to only train on Monday, while the rest of the Buccaneers will undergo a second training session today, and continue training throughout the week.
Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will clash on July 27, with the title of 2013 Carling Black Label Cup champions up for grabs.
