Ajax Cape Town’s loan returnee, Cole Alexander, has resumed full training with the team, which will give the midfielder another chance to impress the club's technical team.
Following a loan spell with Chippa United in the 2012/13 Absa Premiership season, Alexander returned to Ajax for the start of the club’s pre-season training in July, where he was being monitored along with fellow loan returnees, George Akpabio, Andre Petim and Nathan Gertse.
The 24-year-old midfielder has resumed full training after sustaining an ankle injury while training with the Urban Warriors during pre-season. Alexander will continue training with the Cape-based side until a final decision is reached by head coach Muhsin Ertugral and his technical team.
Ajax Cape Town’s public relations officer, Shooz Mekuto, told Soccer-Laduma, “Cole has completed his third training session and is looking good. He now has a proper chance to be assessed by the coach.
"It wouldn’t have been fair to judge him while he is injured, so the coach will look at him and then make the decision. We don’t need to rush a decision.”
