Mpumalanga Black Aces striker Aleni Lebyane tells the Siya crew that he is waiting for the club management to say whether or not they will keep him for next season.
Lebyane, who joined AmaZayoni on a one year plus option deal at the beginning of last season, made only one substitute appearance for Aces. Speculation is rife that the 32-year-old striker will not be retained by Aces next season.
However, the former Free State Stars and Jomo Cosmos striker is still hopeful of getting another chance to impress Aces coach Clive Barker and his technical team.
“When I joined Aces, I signed a one year contract with an option for a further one year. Aces have not indicated to me if whether or not they will exercise that option,” Lebyane told the Siya crew.
“They told me to report back to camp on 23 June, so hopefully everything would be made clear on that day in as far as my contract is concerned,” added Lebyane.
Meanwhile, as reported by the crew, defender Omar Hendricks and midfielder’s futures with Aces remain in doubt, as their contracts expire at the end of June.
