Al Ahly have been busy with team preparations for the CAF Champions League final first leg meeting against Orlando Pirates this weekend.
News out of the Al Ahly camp is that goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy and midfielder Hossam Ashour, remain doubtful for the game on Saturday as they are currently nursing injuries.
The Egyptian giants are in South Africa for the all-important clash against Bucs at Orlando Stadium. Up to this moment, there has been no confirmation on the availability of the two players for the game yet.
According to a report on the club’s official website, Ekramy has been doing light training since arriving in Johannesburg with the rest of the team in preparation for the game.
Al Ahly are on a mission to win the title for a record eighth time, while Pirates on the other hand are aiming for their second title.
Meanwhile, the local football fraternity and South Africa at large continue to show their support for Pirates, as the team edge closer to re-writing the history books should they claim their second Champions League trophy in 18 years.
