Word coming out of the Ajax Cape Town camp is that negotiations between the club and goalkeeper Sean Roberts for the termination of the player’s contract have hit a snag.
As reported by the Siya crew earlier, Ajax and Roberts are set to part ways, with indications that the goalkeeper has fallen out of favour with the club’s technical team.

According to sources within the club, Ajax made Roberts an offer to release him from his contract, but the lanky goalkeeper turned it down.
The club then decided to send Roberts to the Vodacom team, but Roberts wasn’t happy with that and contacted his lawyer. His lawyer then sent the club a letter threatening to take legal action against the club if Roberts continued to train with the Vodacom team.
The Ajax management confronted Roberts after receiving the letter and the goalkeeper requested further talks with the club.
The club management then said they were willing to sit down with Roberts on condition that he withdrew the letter sent to them by his lawyer, but Roberts refused.
And as it stands now, talks between Ajax and Roberts have hit a snag.
The Siya crew will keep an eye on proceedings and inform you accordingly.
