Ajax Cape Town have released Brazilian youngster Wanderson Costa Viana, after the 19-year-old failed to impress during his spell with the club.
Wanderson joined the club back in August and has had a difficult time at Ikamva after scuffles between himself and some of his teammates were made public.
The winger did manage to grab three goals during his time with the Urban Warriors, although it seems that he will now be on the lookout for a new club after the Cape Town-based outfit decided against renewing his contract.
Ajax’s CEO, George Comitis, confirmed to Soccer-Laduma that Wanderson wouldn’t be having his contract renewed and that he has been released by the club.
It is thought that there may be a few new faces at Ikamva next season as they look to improve on the squad after narrowly avoided relegation from the PSL this season.
It remains to be seen whether Wanderson will look for a new side in South Africa or look to leave Mzansi in order to find the next challenge in his career.
